I just returned from Las Vegas, where I saw both bachelor and bachelorette parties out celebrating, I would say more but…what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas! I also saw, several wedding parties at the Venetian Hotel, where they were taking advantage of the Gondola rides at St Marks Square – part of the Venetian Hotel complex. They were then off to one of the many award winning restaurants now in LasVegas.

A recent survey by Bridal Guide magazine found that more modern day brides and grooms are foregoing tradition in favor of destination weddings. Here are some other interesting facts.

•25% of today’s engaged couples plan to have a destination wedding – that’s more than 500,000 weddings per year.

•Number of quests that attend destination weddings has nearly doubled since 1999, up to 54 from 29.

•One-third of couples are also planning destination bachelor and bachelorette parties.
