Four Seasons Resort Maui…keeps getting better!

I’m a Certified Hawaii Destination Specialist and have lived in Hawaii…it’s a special place and the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea is a special hotel.  What I like about this hotel, is they have created a feel of simple elegance without losing the relaxed feel of Hawaii – a wonderful combination!

A new addition to the hotel…a $9 million Serenity Pool.  HotelChatter.com named it one of the Must-See Hotel Pools of Summer 2009.  The pool is located in the new 4100-square foot Serenity Pool Terrace with a wonderful view of the Pacific Ocean, the island of Lanai and the West Maui Mountain range.

Some of the features of this special pool as listed with HotelChatter.com

Adults only – 21 years or older.

Underwater music system to enhance your swim around the pool

Infinity-edge design

Set in lush tropical gardens

Walk-up bar and Swim up bar serving food and drinks.

Four bubble loungers within the pool for added relaxation.

Two large hot tubs integrated with the pool.

And now for my favorite, I have been sitting at my desk imagining …

Six 160-square foot luxury cabanas

Flat screen HDTV, with wireless headsets

Wireless and wired internet access

Ceiling fans

Mini-refrigerators stocked with Evian spritz and fresh fruit platter

A laptop compatible safe

A choice of two magazines from the resort’s retail shops

Comfortable couches and oversized chaise lounges.

Sound good?  I can make your travel dream come true, give me a call and Imagine the Possibilities…

Not Your Average Luau

An Authentic Hawaii Show at the Royal Hawaiian

When in Hawaii it’s not difficult to find a Luau to attend, there is food, dance - an evening of Polynesian entertainment. Royal Hawaiian Hotel - where, many years ago, I was hired to work in the gift shop because I wore shoes to the interview - is doing something different.

They have changed the name of their Luau to Royal’s Aha Aina: feasts of food, song and hula.  They want to tell the Hawaiian story and focus on their culture.  They go from King Kamehameha’s 18th century warriors to a swinging, World War 11 dance routine.

Imagine an evening of craft stations, storytelling, a full-service four-course meal as you lookout at Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head.

The Royal Hawaiian has completed a $110 million renovation of the property…a good time to visit.

Let Martha Stewart Plan Your Wedding

Tuesday, August 11th, 2009

Yes you can have a Martha Stewart Wedding at Sandals and Beaches…this is a Good Thing!

Sandals has always been a leader in destination weddings, at their 12 Sandals and four Beaches Resorts in the Caribbean, and they continue to raise the bar.

Sandals and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia are now joining to officially incorporate and will be offering five themed wedding packages for that special day.  Even Sandals basic, and free, wedding will be a Martha Stewart Wedding, couples can select add-ons for an additional cost.

Martha Stewart has already visited Sandals to do an inspection and has a team in place to make it all happen…this is a good thing!

I was recently at Sandals for the Travel Counsellors Conference and the Sandals’ Certification Course - I did pass the course!  While there I saw several weddings, one at Sandals and one at Beaches, I especailly liked the one at night with the tables on the sand and candles creating a special romantic feel.
