Yes, we’re doing it again! Our 3rd Annual Women’s Weekend with Personal Trainer Kathy Ekdahl. This year were off to the Hotel Viking and Spa Terre, in picturesque Newport, RI. Time again to get away for a weekend of rejuvenation, fun and friendship - it’s time to recharge. This weekend has been created for women to get away from their everyday schedule. There will be yoga classes and yes…there will be chocolate!

ROYAL CARIBBEAN’S NEW TOY

Royal Caribbean’s FlowRider
Freedom of the Seas, will have the world’s first shipboard FlowRider (a surfing simulator). A 32 by 40 foot apparatus that shoots a sheet of water up a wave-like incline that allows people to get on a flowboard (a shorter version of a surfboard) or a boogie Board and surf!

Royal Caribbean is known for their toys - a rock-climbing wall, mini-golf, self-levelling pool tables, bungee trampolining and ice skating.

Are you planning a wedding? A bachelor or bachelorette party? More and more wedding parties are on the move. I just returned from Las Vegas, where I saw both bachelor and bachelorette parties out celebrating, I would say more but…what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas! I also saw, several wedding parties at the Venetian Hotel, where they were taking advantage of the Gondola rides at St Marks Square – part of the Venetian Hotel complex. They were then off to one of the many award winning restaurants now in LasVegas.

A recent survey by Bridal Guide magazine found that more modern day brides and grooms are foregoing tradition in favor of destination weddings. Here are some other interesting facts.

25% of today’s engaged couples plan to have a destination wedding – that’s more than 500,000 weddings per year.

Number of quests that attend destination weddings has nearly doubled since 1999, up to 54 from 29.

One-third of couples are also planning destination bachelor and bachelorette parties.
